  • Does Wisconsin have mosquitoes?  The state is home to many tiny creatures who you may or may not want around. If that’s of concern to you, a good bug spray is recommended, although any bugs are usually not too bad this time of year.
  • Can / should I bring my guitar?  We don’t see why not!
  • What about my paddleboard?  Same answer as above.
  • Will there be bears?  At this time, we are not aware of any non-domesticated animals who partake in Oula, though the Camp Icaghowan area is home to deer, foxes, egrets, geese, bats, mice, squirrels, and many other species. While bears live in Wisconsin, none have been spotted around Amery, WI, or Camp Icaghowan.
  • Is Wisconsin cold in April/May?  Sometimes! Of course, it’s hard to predict with our ever-changing climate. It'll likely get chilly once the sun's down, so you’ll want to bring layers!
  • Can I purchase this as a gift?  Of course, and how sweet of you! Just add to cart, then type the name of the recipient in the order notes so we can apply the registration cost to the correct camper.
