We’ll roll out a detailed schedule in late summer, but look forward to: as much Oula (and Power, One, and Fusion) as you’d like, plenty of downtime, and all that Montana fall has to offer.
-
Can my family come? Any Oulakins (current and future!) over the age of 18 are more than welcome at Camp Oula.
-
How about my dog(s)? Well-behaved dogs with good recall are welcome throughout Camp Paxson, though the only pup-friendly buildings are the cabins. Owners are also expected to behave decently and make sure all poop makes it into trash or compost bins.
-
Can participants come, or just instructors? ALL ARE WELCOME AT CAMP OULA! The more, the merrier!
-
Will alcohol be provided? We won’t be supplying alcohol, but you’re welcome to bring your own (if you’re of legal drinking age)!
-
Can I bring marijuana or other drugs? Go for it, assuming weed possession remains legal in Montana for those over the age of 21, but please leave any illicit drugs at home.

What if I can’t come but have an extra sleeping bag for an out-of-state Oulakin? That’s so nice of you to offer! Email studio@oulafitness.com with the subject line “Camp Oula gear” whenever is convenient.
-
Does Montana have mosquitoes? Our great state is home to many tiny creatures whom you may or may not want around. If that’s of concern to you, a good bug spray is recommended.
-
Can / should I bring my guitar? We don’t see why not!
-
What about my paddleboard? Same answer as above.
-
Will there be bears? At this time, we are not aware of any non-domesticated animals who partake in Oula, though the Seeley Swan valley is home to deer, foxes, bears, mountain lions, egrets, geese, bats, mice, squirrels, and many other species. Historically, the critters tend to avoid Camp Paxson when it’s inhabited by groups, as they have little interest in human activities.
-
Isn’t Montana cold in October? Sometimes! Of course, it’s hard to predict with our ever-changing climate. All we know for sure is that this exact week averaged a high temp around 70°F last year, 76°F in 2021, and 78°F in 2020. You’ll want to bring layers!
-
What if there’s too much wildfire smoke for us to be outdoors? As noted above, the climate’s a tricky thing to predict. Montana’s fire season (Mayish through Octoberish) is projected to get longer, and fire danger is generally expected to increase. We’ll play it by ear and keep you updated in the weeks leading up to camp.
-
Can I pitch a tent instead? We’ll allow for tent camping once all bunk spots have been purchased! For the sake of simplicity, registration costs will remain the same for both tent and bunk campers.
-
Can I purchase this as a gift? Of course, and how sweet of you! Just add to cart, then type the name of the recipient in the order notes so we can apply the registration cost to the correct camper.
What else? Email your questions to hq@oulafitness.com and we'll get them added to the list! If you're wondering it, someone else might be, too!
